How to make cold brew coffee

80 g of coffee to 1000 ml of water, ground coarse. Ready in about 16 hours.

Recipe

Coarse coffee steeped in cold water for hours, then strained. Smooth, sweet and low in acidity; it keeps in the fridge for days.

Steps

  1. Grind 80 g of coffee coarse.

  2. Put it in a jar or cold brew maker and pour in 1000 ml of cold, filtered water.

  3. Stir gently until all the grounds are wet, then cover.

  4. Leave it in the fridge for 16 hours.

  5. Strain it through the maker's filter, or a paper filter in a dripper, into a clean jar or bottle.

  6. Serve over ice. Keep the rest in the fridge and drink it within a week.
